Tea and honey

It has been so cold these first few days of February, and there is so much turmoil going on around the world… that I thought of filling up my cup with tea and honey, ad with my Lord.

Many times we do not realize how privileged we are to live in a peaceful place until something happens, or until all is gone.  Every day I try to make some time for myself to feed my soul, to have a cup of hot tea (or coffee, depending on the mood) and to just get close to m
y Lord and to receive His grace, peace and love so that I can have something to give to my precious ones at home.

When we fill our cup and satisfy our inner hunger for God, and when we ask Him for guidance, patience, kindness, and love; when we simply talk to Him with an open heart, then we receive His wisdom and love to guide our dear children and build a strong family legacy to pass down onto our children. But how can we give if we don’t receive? That is why it is so important dear moms to have our cup filled! To have more of Jesus so that we can share His beauty, love and forgiveness.

My kids and my husband also love having some special tea time every Sunday, when there are no home chores to do, when there is just time for rest and having some good family time together. I bring out our fine china tea cups, my favourite Polish tea pot (pictured, which holds a lot of tea!), cookies, and some honey sweetened tea! Lots of laughter, talk and good time comes along our Sunday tea time.

We can make our family members feel special one tea brew at a time. It can be any time of the day or week (such as almost daily when my husband and I need some tea time together). It is so easy to do and the time spent together can be so uplifting!
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing” 1 Corinthians 13:1-2

“Love is patient, love is kind; love does not envy or boast; love is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own
way; it is not irritable or resentful; love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

I urge you to try and substitute your name for the word “LOVE” in the above passage and read it out loud to personalize God’s word to you and to ask Him for all those beautiful and much needed divine qualities!

May God guide you and fill up your cup with His love, His forgiveness,  His wisdom, His patience and with all that your heart and body needs to be able to walk through and enjoy your journey of motherhood.
